Doug Durant, CPP, Regional Vice President – Western Canada
With over 24 years in the service industry, the last 15 being in security management, Doug joined G4S Security Services in the summer of 2001.
Doug has worked and volunteered in a number of positions in the policing and security management industry. Holding various operational roles in his tenure, based in Calgary, Doug is responsible for the overall management of the Western Canadian Division from British Columbia to Manitoba.
Doug is an active member and volunteer with ASIS International since 1998 and has held executive positions for the Calgary Chapter for the past five years. In addition to having his Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, Doug is board certified as a Certified Protection Professional.
Throughout the world, the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation is acknowledged as the security profession's highest recognition of practitioners. It’s awarded based on experience and passage of an examination that provides an objective measure of an individual's broad-based knowledge and competency in security management.
