Control Centre Operator (Bilingual English and French) Positions Available in Mississauga, Ontario
G4S Security Services (Canada) Ltd. is one of the nation's leading providers of security services. We deliver a comprehensive portfolio of security products and service solutions across Canada to clients in both the private and public sectors.Position: Control Centre Operators (Bilingual English and French)
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Note: Successful candidates will be required to work in our Pickering location until our new station is in full operation (spring 2010).
Key Objectives:
- Ensure all work assignments are fully staffed according to job requirements
- Document all work hours, time differences and employee changes; these changes will result in the accuracy of payroll and invoicing with the branches
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining master schedules for all security job sites
- Call monitoring
- Video monitoring
- Dispatching
- Escalation procedures
- Scheduling – ensuring vacancies due to absences of any kind are filled with the most suitable and qualified replacements
Leadership Attributes:
- Acting with professionalism and integrity
- Provide good service to internal and external clients
- Shares knowledge and capabilities; builds relations with other districts and regions
- Demonstrates an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace
Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
- High School education as a minimum or equivalent
- Excellent customer service via telephone
- Work-related experience in the security industry (an asset)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employee groups and building partnerships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to use office software programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of rotational shifts and site schedules
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate
- Client service/consulting skills
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Bilingualism in French (mandatory)
Position Conditions:
- Shift work required (24/7) holidays included
- Work is performed in a main office with controlled temperatures
- Position is associated with highly personal client information and extreme confidentiality must be practiced
- Must meet Ministry licensing standards
