When Stéphane Bouvier was headhunted by G4S, he scrutinised not only the company's financial credibility but also the people with whom he would be working, before accepting its offer.

"That was one of the key elements for me," Stéphane explains, as he recalls the decision-making process that led him to move to the world's largest security organisation from an international business process outsourcing company, where he had similar responsibilities.

"The discussion process allowed me to meet a number of key people in the business and that was very positive - that was the key filter," Stéphane explains.

Today, after seven years at his previous role, responsible for a division that had 1,000 employees with £250 million total revenue across four countries, Stéphane now finds himself heading up the financial control of G4S Secure Solutions' North & West Europe Region, a £1 billion turnover business operating with 34,000 employees in 10 countries.

Within two months of joining G4S in October 2009, Stéphane had visited all 10 countries as he began to familiarise himself not only with their often very different business models but also with the people who drive those businesses.

Born in France in 1974, Stéphane achieved a first class degree at the French School of Management (ESSCA) and a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
