Securicor plc - New Directors

Securicor plc announces that it expects to appoint two new non-executive directors, Bo Lerenius and Malcolm Williamson, to join the board on 1 April 2004.

Bo Lerenius (57), was educated both in Sweden and in the USA. After a diversified early business career, he served between 1985 and 1992 as chief executive of Ernstromgruppen, a Swedish building materials operation. In 1992, he joined Stena Line, one of Sweden's largest companies, where he was chief executive and vice chairman. Since 1999 he has been group chief executive of Associated British Ports Holdings PLC.

Malcolm Williamson (64) has for the last five years been president and chief executive of Visa International, Inc., based in San Francisco. After a 28-year career with Barclays Bank, he became managing director of Girobank plc in 1985. In 1989 he joined Standard Chartered plc, being group chief executive from 1993 to 1998. He is also currently chairman of CDC Group plc, deputy chairman of Britannic plc and UK chairman of the British-Thai Business Group.

It is intended that both Bo Lerenius and Malcolm Williamson will serve on the board of the new Group 4 Securicor plc, subject to completion of the proposed merger announced earlier this morning.

No information is required to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the Listing Rules.
