G4S, the international security solutions group, announces that it has acquired substantially all the assets of Sunshine Youth Services, Inc. (SYS) and its various subsidiaries.

SYS is a Florida-based full-service juvenile justice business with an excellent reputation for operating residential treatment programmes for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

The business was acquired from Sunshine Youth Services Inc. and has gross assets of US $3.3m.
