G4S 49ers ready to set sail

30 July 2012

G4S sponsored British sailors Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes are ready to start competing in the 49er class on Monday 30th July at Weymouth and Portland, the Sailing venue for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The duo has been talking to the Home of British Sailing Channel candidly about their expectations for 2012 and their disappointment following their performance in Beijing 2008.

Talking to G4S, Stevie said “London 2012 has been our dream ever since we started on the 49er. It’s always been our ultimate aim and should be an amazing event. Weymouth provides really unique sailing and I think it’ll give us a lot of subconscious confidence that this is where we train every day.

We’re really looking forward to having our friends and family experience an Olympic Games—it’s just such a great global event and we’re looking forward to the whole country experiencing what a special thing it is to host it.”

We wish them lots of luck for a successful performance at London 2012!
