Clive, who has 20 years’ experience in technology and security, joins from Chubb Security UK where as Managing Director he was responsible for the integration of the Initial and Chubb electronic security businesses in the UK.  Prior to that Clive held a number of senior roles within Initial Group companies focusing on running the electronic security business in Europe and the USA.

Clive’s role is one of a number of senior new positions being created by G4S as it looks to build its total outsourcing capabilities to become a strategic business partner in sectors where security is key. This appointment follows that of Andrew Whittaker as Global Aviations Solutions Director last month.

As part of the Group’s drive to strengthen its in-house expertise, Clive’s remit will be to work closely with new and existing sector heads, and G4S’s central and regional technology hubs, to build the Group’s security systems capacity and capability.

Clive will report to G4S Group Strategy and Development Director Graham Levinsohn, who said: “Developing our technological expertise is integral to our plans to build our outsourcing capabilities across our sectors to become a strategic partner to businesses where security is key.

“Clive has a wealth of expertise and I am confident he will help us deliver the advances in security systems and technology expertise that will transform the scope of service we are able to offer across our sectors.”

Clive, who began his career in consultancy and marketing before moving into the electronic security field, said: “I am delighted to be joining G4S as it embarks on an evolutionary business strategy to enhance its business offer.

“G4S has identified the business potential that exists through the combination of unrivalled security expertise and cutting-edge technology, and is positioning itself well to be able to take up opportunities to become the provider of choice in sectors where security and safety are central.”
