The Summit Awards recognise commitment to service, bravery and going above and beyond the call of duty.

Dennis primarily works in the main lobby area of a hospital in Eastern Ontario, Canada and was nominated for the award for his commitment to patients, staff and visitors.

Every Christmas, Dennis uses his annual leave to dress up as Santa and visit children at a nearby hospital to deliver presents and talk to those who are unwell during the festive period.

G4S Canada employs over 10,000 people nationally, and throughout the year recognises employee achievements both formally and informally.

Recently, the 2013 Summit Awards celebrated the commitment to service and excellence of our dedicated staff. In addition to Dennis’ Award, Awards were given in the following categories: Supervisor of the Year, Outstanding Customer Service, Health and Safety, Employee Relations, Administrator of the Year, Outstanding Operations, Screener of the Year, Service Delivery Manager of the Year, Extra Mile Awards (3), President’s Award for Business Development and President’s Award for Branch Operations.

Drew Levine President, Secure Solutions, G4S North America, said: “The greatest strength of any organisation lies in its people, and G4S employs some of the most outstanding people in the security industry. Dennis is an unsung hero and his commitment to patients and the wider community cannot be underestimated. He is one of the many silent heroes working to protect the public on behalf of G4S and its customers.”
