G4S recognises the impact that its business activities can have on the environment and is committed to managing this impact in a responsible manner. Though its Climate Action Programme we measure, report and reduce the intensity of our environmental impact.
Carbon Disclosure Project 2015
Since 2009 we have reported on our progress through the Carbon Disclosure Project. In the latest CDP report, “Global Climate Change report – At The Tipping Point”, G4S achieved a CDP score of 94(B). An improvement of 6% from our score of 89(B) in 2014.
The CDP score companies based on their climate change disclosure, high scores indicate good internal data management and an understanding of climate change related issues affecting the company.
Reporting to CDP shows that companies are aware of their greenhouse gas emissions allowing for reduction targets to be put in place as well as addressing the risks and opportunities that are associated with climate change.
