How we manage sustainability
G4S’ business and culture are underpinned by our values.
While we have governance structures and review processes in place that sit outside the line management structure to provide scrutiny of our practices, we expect our managers across the business to understand our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments and to uphold them in their everyday business activities.
We reinforce group values and standards at every opportunity and assess compliance with standards through a variety of means, including internal and external audit, contract reviews, risk reviews, self-assessments and other embedded operational processes.
In 2015, we undertook a review of the group’s values to ensure that they are relevant and appropriate for our business activities of today and into the future.
Our values are the standards we set for ourselves and our culture is the way those values are reflected in the everyday behaviours of our colleagues. Following the launch of our new values in March 2016, we will focus on embedding them in our business practices and processes.
