Two Acquisitions for G4S Botswana

G4S has today announced the acquisition of Trojan Security Services and The Facilities Management Group in Botswana

G4S, the world’s leading security solutions group, today announces that G4S (Botswana) Limited has agreed to acquire the following businesses:

1. The assets of Trojan Security Services, (“Trojan”). Trojan, founded in 1992, is the third largest security services provider in Botswana. Its primary operating areas are manned security, cash in transit and alarm & response. Trojan is to be acquired from Trojan Security Services (Pty) Ltd, Cyber Space Age (Pty) Ltd and Hotline Security Services (Pty) Ltd for up to £916,500 in cash.

2. The Facilities Management Group (Pty) Ltd (“FMG”). FMG trades in three divisions: security, facilities management and cleaning services. To comply with local citizen economic empowerment requirements, 30% of the cleaning business will be sold to local citizens. FMG is to be acquired from Mr D Phillips for up to £1,253,500 in cash.


These acquisitions are subject to regulatory approvals. If approved they will strengthen significantly the strategic development of G4S Botswana in terms of both footprint and capability and allow the company to deliver a wider range of outsourced solutions to both existing and new markets.
