Security Services
A priority for G4S in Ghana is finding the right people to recruit and train as guards, and raising the standards of employees throughout the business.
Today we have over 1,200 guards employed by the Company, protecting property and people: gold mines, factories, commercial and retail businesses, banks, breweries, casinos, residences and many international Blue Chip companies.
Executive Protection
Our executive protection services cover a wide array of both high-profile protection, and low-profile covert security. The personnel involved with Executive Protection are well trained in defensive driving and unarmed defensive tactics.
G4S personnel evaluate risks and threats and develop counter measures and preventative strategies, including appropriate judgment in the use of force, verbal skills and tactical techniques.
Safety on the Road
Road trips in Ghana’s less permissive and remote areas carry an inherent risk from criminal elements, particularly where those trips are regular and routine and especially to expatriates whilst in transit. G4S services ensure secure communication strategies, pro-active surveillance detection, counter surveillance actions, and recognition of behavioural traits of potential adversaries.
Airport Reception
Aviation laws in Ghana prevent most private security companies from entering the restricted "airside" area, however G4S has built up good relationships with the Airport Authorities and can as a result obtain special permission to meet our clients at the immigration and border control point inside Katoka International Airport arrivals lounge. A G4S representative can then assist with baggage and exit formalities.Command & Control
G4S vehicles are fitted with VHF radios to enable communications between both vehicle commanders and from the vehicles back to the G4S 24/7 Central Monitoring Station (C.M.S.) in Accra.Vehicles will soon be fitted with the Scope real time vehicle tracking system to enable G4S to remotely monitor vehicles in transit.
