Live coverage of the event with Telematix!

Telematix, the technical provider for the Aegean Rally, provided, once again, live coverage for the Athens Trophy. Telematix extensive know how and advanced tracking technology facilitated the live coverage, of this prestigious race, via the internet. In 2005 the Breitling MedCup set in motion the regatta series that the sport of sailing had long been waiting for.

Big, fast, exciting, glamorous new race boats competing on a grand prix Circuit, which linked some of the most vibrant and popular Mediterranean venues, hand picked for their sailing conditions, the interest from the local communities and the simple desire of owners and crews to go racing there, all combined to prove a potent recipe.

The Circuit has become the magnet for owners looking to compete against like minded individuals racing a class of boat which, first and foremost, is quick on all points of sail. There is no handicapping. First to cross the finish line wins.

This year will see the Circuit 21 boats from 11 different nations. Last year the racing was close, with races won and lost by seconds. This season promises to be even more exciting, setting new standards in every area.
The Breitling Med Cup is attracting the best sailors in the world. From the round the world racers, massive budget Americaʼs Cup sailors, to medalists in the Olympics, all come together to compete on the TP52 Breitling MedCup Circuit.

The penultimate event in the circuit will be run by the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club in the ancient military port of the Micromilano peninsula in Pireaeus. Athens has long had a strong relationship with the sea and this tradition has continued from antiquity through to the modern day, when this historic capital played host to the 2004 Olympic Games. Without doubt one of the most spectacular venues in the Circuit, as much for its history as for its island-filled clear waters. Welcome to the cradle of the Mediterranean!
