The Location Company Announces a Significant Partnership with G4S Hong Kong
The Location Company Limited (The Location Company), Hong Kong’s leading provider of location-based applications, today announced a significant partnership with G4S Hong Kong, one of the world’s largest security solutions companies with an established presence in over 100 countries around the globe.The Location Company will provide G4S with a regional, operational support system and tracking software to support cash in transit, patrol and response and secure distribution services. This system is based on The Location Company’s proprietary application - Mobile Resource Manager (MRM). A provision of maintenance and support services will also be made available for this software system.
G4S’ commitments include the operation command and control components for The Location Company’s flag-ship application, LoJack, which is Hong Kong’s only effective theft prevention and stolen vehicle recovery system. In addition, the companies have agreed to team-up in developing entry and co-marketing location enabled services and solutions, to corporate customers in Asia-Pacific.
The Location Company’s Chief Operating Officer Mr. Jon Lewis-Evans stated, “This partnership is a major boost to our strategy of expanding the use of location enabled services in the regional corporations and it also represents a significant strengthening of security and operational capability of LoJack in Hong Kong”.
LoJack will significantly increase its base station network coverage and stolen vehicle recovery patrol vehicle fleet, benefiting all existing and future customers. Mr. Jon Lewis-Evans continued “Furthermore, this relationship allows The Location Company to enter new markets for reliable, secure asset tracking in partnership with a strong global partner into a wide spectrum of corporate customers”.
