Ted Devereux
Regional President, Asia Pacific
Ted joined G4S Security Services Limited as the Regional President in January, 2002, and is responsible for the development, management and growth of G4S’s business in Asia Pacific.Ted has over thirty years of experience in the security industry in Asia. Prior to joining Securicor, he spent more than 20 years with Guardforce as the Chief Executive and Shareholder. He was instrumental in developing Guardforce into a multi-service group operating throughout Asia Pacific and with operations in the United States, United Kingdom and South Africa.
As Chairman of the Hong Kong Security Association from 1986 to 1990 and as a member of the Security Industry Advisory Committee, Ted actively promoted the introduction of legislation to govern the security industry, focusing on enhancing service standards. He is currently the serving Chairman of the Security Association (re-appointed in April 2002) and is working with Government to fine tune the legislation and represent the needs of the Association’s members.
Ted is a fellow of the British Institute of Management, and a member of the British Institute of Directors.
