India's 100,000th Employee
30 October 2006 marked a historic day for G4S India with a celebration of having G4S India’s first and 100,000th employee together on the same platform.
The first employee, Mr Hari Singh Negi from Northern India, joined the company 17 years ago as Assistant Manager Systems and is today a Vice President within the business.
Mr Matangi Shanmugam Sreeinivasana on the other hand, is a young man of 19 years from Southern India who joined G4S on 27 July 2006 at Chennai as a Security Guard. He has great ambition for his career and is currently undergoing courses in English and Computer Skills. It is also planned for him to attend training in bomb detection, access control, fire prevention and first aid, in order that he has opportunities to progress within the company.
