In September 2006, when Kenya hosted the2007 Rugby World qualifier match between Kenya and Namibia, G4S Kenya developed an event security management package and partnered with the Kenyan Rugby Football Union to sponsor the match and provide security services.

G4S Kenya offered a unique integration of security services that included event ticketing, cash handling and banking, metal scanning, on court security, close proximity protection for players and entrance control and more.

"Creating bespoke security solutions for sporting events allows G4S Kenya to build on the market-leading services that we already provide elsewhere", says communications manager Carlos Henry.

Securing events is a special type of security with specific demands.

In order for the event to run smoothly, security must be completely reliable and specifically tailored to the needs of the event.
