G4S Happy Day

This Happy Day, G4S made a difference to 10,000 children at 64 locations across 27 countries of North Africa, Middle East and Southern Asia. The Day was celebrated with different themes like Dreamland, Fairyland, Green World, White World, Clowns, Wonderland and Looney Tunes Characters.
Toy train, bouncy castles, hoopla games, joyrides, streamers, balloons, caterpillar ride, ice-cream parlour, pastas, sandwiches, pizzas, cakes, burgers, dry fruits, chips, patties, pastries, spring rolls, croquettes, sweets, chocolates, milk shakes and juices! It was all for our little guests.

A Happy vibe was created for children in sync with the theme of respective locations. The region invited more than 10,000 children with special needs as well as HIV infected, orphaned, disadvantaged and underprivileged children from established NGOs and charity organisations.

Every country in the region planned the day with various fun filled activities like joyrides, puppet shows, magic shows, singing and dancing competitions, face painting, card making, quiz competition, juggling, tug of war, lemon and spoon race, nail art, games stalls and games specifically designed for children with special needs.

Aid to crèche services

G4S India shares the responsibility of supporting aid to the crèche services at the Delhi and Gurgaon prison offered by India Vision Foundation.

This initiative helps in introducing educational fundamentals to the under-privileged children, enabling them to be better citizens tomorrow and strengthening the spread of knowledge.

“G4S is helping the government through the services of Navjyoti India Foundation and India Vision Foundation to create security as against only keeping security”.
-Dr. Kiran Bedi, IPS (Retd.), ex UN Police Advisor to Secy General, Peacekeeping Operations : Ramon Magsaysay Laureate

“The Foundation is deeply grateful to G4S’ for its contribution in giving these children a new vision and hope for a better future.
Indeed your love will never be forgotten, by the children or us.
God Bless!!"

G4S Shiksha

Continuing its endeavour to bring equality in the society, G4S India together with Hope Foundation is in the process of opening a school for underprivileged children in the NCR. It is christened “G4S Shiksha”.

The school is located in one of the largest slums in the National Capital Region. The intent is to discourage child labour and other unethical activities like drug addiction. Due to a lack of direction and education, street children get involved in drugs, crime, gambling and other such practices. The school presents these children with an opportunity to shape their future constructively.

“Shiksha” doesn’t restrict itself to merely provide education; it also offers associated amenities like mid-day meals, books, uniforms and school bags. G4S also provides the required stationery such as pens, pencils and notebooks for the school. It has a computer lab to equip children with much-needed computer skills.

The school offers a number of recreational and extra-curricular activities like day picnics, painting competitions, clay moulding and paper cutting activities to foster the development of additional skills amongst the children

Through this initiative, G4S India aspires to help these children to add a new meaning to their lives and in this way make a small contribution towards shaping the future of our country.
