2005 Securicor Security Services Kenya bought VERA security an alarms company based in Malindi,POLEA Alarms based in Kisumu and TANARA alarms based in Nairobi. Branch network rationalized resulting in the closure of Karura branch and relocation of ABC team to head office.
2004 In July, Group 4 Falck’s security business merged with Securicor plc to create the world’s second largest security provider. Lokichogio courier route was introduced. Securicor security Service bought Falcon a guarding and alarms company.
1999 Securicor security Services Kenya bought Express security a cash services company
1997 All autonomous companies become Securicor Security Services Kenya limited with Courier, Alarms and guarding sections headed by a General Manager.
1996 Integrated security systems moved to ABC place Westlands from the Head office at Witu road. Securicor cleaning Services was sold off to Chemserve Servcies.
1994 Regional office for Africa was set up in South Africa then Securicor Kenya began reporting to South Africa regional office.
1989 Securicor Solar Services was closed down.
1987 Each company division became autonomous with its own directorship. They were registered as companies. Securicor Courier Kenya limited, Securicor Alarms Kenya limited, Securicor Guarding Kenya limited and Securicor CIT Kenya limited. There were subsidiaries companies namely Securicor Solar Services and Securicor Cleaning.
1980 Alarms services were introduced. The first backup service vehicle was based at Westlands
1975 Courier section had only one vehicle.
1972 Courier services were introduced moving mails using established bus services. The main routes were Kisumu,Kitale,Meru and Mombasa routes.
1971 First branches opened. Thika and Mombasa branches providing guarding and CIT services.
1970 Dog section was initiated with 10 dogs.
1969 Securicor entered Kenya.It took over 3 companies. K9 a guarding company in Nairobi, Night Security Organization based in Thika providing guarding and cash services and finally a company in Mombasa providing guarding services.
