Securicor Plc Acquisition of Geldnet, Netherlands
Securicor plc, the international security solutions group, announces that it has completed the acquisition of the remaining 75% of the share capital of Geldnet Holding b.v., the holding company of a group of Dutch cash services companies in which Securicor had held a 25% equity interest for a number of years. The consideration for the purchase was Euro 19.8 million. Geldnet, which already enjoys a leading position in the Dutch cash services market, will pursue outsourcing opportunities with financial institutions and retail organisations in the Netherlands.
