In 1988 Wackenhut created a new business entity in Greece by founding Wackenhut Security Hellas, S.A. Based on the philosophy of total Security System, the company was designed to offer high quality protective services and security systems in Greece.
Wackenhut belongs to Group 4 Securicor group of companies since 2002. Group 4 Securicor is the second largest security services companies in the world and operates in 100 countries, on six continents. It employs over 360.000 employees and the turnover was 6,08 billion € for 2004.
Wackenhut Security fueled its rapid development in the Greek security market by providing a Total Security System. As an indicator of its growth, Wackenhut Security Hellas reported in 2004 total revenue over 84,9 million Euro (Chart 1) supported by corporate development to more than 3,000 employees (Chart 2) during the same period.
In addition to its guarding services, Wackenhut Hellas offers all of the electronic and physical security services in all of its branches throughout Greece.
