Maritime & Transportation Security
The maritime transportation sector is the economic lifeblood of Asia. The tragedy of 911 and subsequent acts of terrorism have triggered a response by the international community, signficantly impacting the maritime trade sector. The commercial reality is that new security imperatives and legislation are fast being promulgated and will soon be in effect. If shipping companies, ports and port facility operators are to participate in international trade then compliance is mandatory.
G4S is helping its customers meet these new standards by interpreting the compliance requirements outlined in the legislation, conducting security assessments, producing security plans and providing training relative to the International Maritime Organization’s ISPS Code. Training programmes include but are not limited to SSO, CSO and PFSO.
