Polish employee is awarded Employee of the Year Award 2007 for his bravery

Whilst on night duty last November, G4S Polish Security Officers, Janusz Ciolek and his colleague Jacek Jaworski, received a burglary signal during their shift. When they reached the address they realised that the signal was coming from a burning flat which was situated in a site protected by G4S. The Officers immediately called the fire brigade, but whilst waiting for their arrival, realised that a women was trapped inside her bedroom on the first floor.

Not wanting to waste another second, and without thought for his own safety, Janusz climbed up, broke a window and helped the women out of the flames. His bravery saved her life.

Janusz was awarded the G4S Employee of the Year Award in Poland for 2007.
