G4S Mine Action is a commercial leader in the environmental remediation of landmine and unexploded ordnance (UXO) pollution, clearing battlefields and controlling conventional weapons.As part of G4S Risk Management we operate globally, supporting sustainable humanitarian and reconstruction programmes through the removal of landmines and UXO. We also assist commercial clients to conduct their business safely in post-conflict environments. Over the past 14 years, our specialist teams have operated in 25 countries including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chile, Cyprus, Iraq, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Mozambique, Nepal, Sakhalin Island (Russia) and Sudan.

Quality assurance and quality control of mine action programmes are vital to ensure that the methodologies employed conform to International Mine Action Standards and/or country-specific standards and guidelines. These activities and processes provide confidence to those intending to use the land post-clearance and ensure that donor and project funds are expended appropriately.
