At G4S our specialist maritime team provides a wide range of tailored maritime port security and ground services solutions that assist our customers to comply with the requirements of security legislations, and thereby ensure a safe and secure port environment.

In addition, we have an in-depth understanding of the security needs of the entire transport sector (including aviation, rail and road transport) to provide solutions to secure the complete supply chain.

Internationally


Some areas of the world carry a greater exposure to maritime risk, including piracy. Whilst the percentage of vessels attacked is still relatively small, the potential for attack requires all ship owners to take the threat seriously and take all reasonable precautions, to ensure both internal and external stakeholders are protected.

G4S Risk Management’s maritime security consultants have assisted in developing strategic and tactical security plans to mitigate the risks associated with conducting shipping and port operations around the world, including known trouble spots such as the Malacca Straits, the Niger delta and off Somalia.  Our operationally experienced consultants are International Ship and Port Security Code (ISPS) qualified and STCW 95 and are typically former CSO/SSOs.
