Zodwa meets the G4S African Country Heads On July 29th Zodwa Maphanga, G4S 4teen’s South African Table Tennis star was invited to a regional conference in Namibia where the President of Africa introduced the G4S 4teen programme and Zodwa to the African Country Heads. At this unique appearance Zodwa joined her Local Market Contact, Innocentia Mangena in front of the country heads and helped bring to life the new and exciting programme. After a brief introduction from Debbie McGrath, Group Director of Communications, Zodwa demonstrated her table tennis skills by playing against one of her South African team members in front of the country heads. As well as giving them some top tips on how to play, Zodwa then challenged the country heads to a game where, one by one, they took on the impressive athlete but unfortunately stood little chance of winning! Having just returned from the All African Games Zodwa really enjoyed her day: ‘it was great to meet all the G4S country heads in my continent, they were really interested in G4S 4teen and wanted to know lots about me and the other members of the team. I was quite nervous but I really enjoyed teaching and playing against them. I felt proud to be representing G4S 4teen in Africa and had a lovely day.’

What does being part of the G4S 4teen mean to you?

For me it means that I can achieve what I want to be in the future and I’m able to put more effort in. To work with former Olympic Champion Haile Gebrselassie will be a dream come true
