November 2008
Last month I came 3
rd in the mixed doubles and 5
th in both the doubles in the singles at the National Individual Player Competition in Kao-shung. In the singles class I played Wu Chih-Chi, ranked No. 77 in the world. It was a tough game and despite losing to him I really enjoyed the game and the opportunity to play against such a respectable player.
Last month I also attended the G4S Taiwan’s 15
th Anniversary party. It was a wonderful night and at the dinner I sat next to the G4S Taiwan Managing Director and we talked a lot about my recent performance and my future plans. I also made a short speech at the party and gave my Chung Chain Cup medal to G4S Taiwan congratulated them and thank them for G4S ‘s continue support.
This month I am going to the World Adolescent Cup final round. In my diary last month I thought was going to Auckland for the final but it has now been changed to Spain. Anyway, I’ll record a video of the competition and share it with you next time. When I return from Spain I will then be competing in the Adolescent National Championship.

October 2008
Last month I won the Singles title at the Taiyuan Junior Open, beating Egypt’s Omar Assar, the number two seed in the final. I was really pleased with my performance as I had a clear head and knew what I had to do. My confidence grew as the game progressed and I was making fewer mistakes each round. I was placed second at the preliminary round of the World Adolescent Cup, so I will now be going to Auckland for final round.
Our team also won at the Avalokiteshvara Cup earlier on in the month and we finished 3rd place in the Chung Chain Cup competition at the beginning of October. In the final round of the Chung Chain Cup I played Chuan Chih-Yuan, ranked No. 1 in the country and ranked No.15 in the world. The game went really well and I still can’t believe I won!
My next game is at an Invitation Competition at Sanshia Town on the 26th October, so I have for some time to focus on my training and continue working on my technique.

September 2008
Last month I went to Singapore for the Asia Adolescent Open Tournament competition. I won No. 3 for 18 yrs double and No.5 for single. Since I got back from Singapore, I have been very busy with my training. This is because I have two important competitions coming up next month, one on Sept 10
th in China and the other on Sept 27
th in Kaoshiong.
My result at the World Cup Open Tournament in China will directly affect my standing in the world ranking. This is a great opportunity and I want to beat all my current accomplishments and achieve success and improve on my world ranking.
The other competition in Kaoshiong is the preliminary contest for the World Adolescent Cup. Only the top 4 athletes qualify to go to Auckland for final competition. I look to achieve great results in both competitions and am looking forward to them.
On August 31
st at the Butterfly Cup competition in Taipei I won No.1 for both double and single. I’ll take this advantage as encouragement and energy to help me to confront coming challenges or any unforeseen predicament.
I also give my best wishes to my friends from G4S 14 teen who qualified for Beijing Olympics, I really hope they did their best and enjoyed the games in such a spectacular arena.

February 2008
This month is really a down period for me but I had a very good time with my family during Chinese New Year. In February, I mostly went to school for my regular daily training however I had one competition, The Butterfly Cup where I got the second place in the singles and first place in the doubles – I was very pleased.
I will join a national high school competition in the middle of the month and go aboard for the invitation game at the end of March.
January 2008
This month is a really crucial month for me as well. Although I have been selected for the National players, I still had to compete with other Taiwanese players to compete against the top three representatives hoping to go to the Beijing Olympic games. Unfortunately, I lost the game as I came fourth.
I learnt a lot from this and feel there are a lot of places to improve my skills. I will continually join the competitions and never give up.
There is one thing that I feel very happy about. I attended G4S annual dinner and I competed with their champion for table tennis. I also met Joe, their Managing Director, Ken May and all the colleagues in G4S. I love the food there and it is a very pleasant experience for me.
February will be a down time for me. School is finished and there is no competition in this month. I would love to spend time with my family for Chinese New Year and rest a bit. Although there is no school, I will still go to school for my regular daily training. |  |
December 2007
This month is really crucial month for me. I have joined the National players selection competitions both for Junior and Adults. For the junior national players selection it is quite easy for me to pass the selection and become the national junior table tennis player. However, being only a junior I was close to failing in the adult selection. It was a tough game for me at this time. I thought it was because the jetlag and I didn’t adjust myself very well. No matter, I tried my best and was delighted when I finally passed the national player selection in the adult group making it my third year I have been selected in the adult player group since I was 14 years old. I am glad that all my hard work gives me a chance to represent Taiwan to join the worldwide game in Year 2008.
I am so happy as I met my friend and other G4S 4teen member, Ms. Che Un Teng, when I competed in an invitation game in Macau. Although it was a short meeting, I am really glad to meet her and see a person who works as hard as me to win the honour for myself, my country and G4S.
November 2007
This month is overseas training camp for me. I have been at the invitation games in Europe for almost 20 days. Although I didn’t win these games I learnt a lot of skills from these experienced players. The trainer has arranged some practice venues for us to really make the most of our practice time.
After coming back to Taiwan for a week, I will go to Macau for the invitation games for another week. It was an unexpected arrangement by my coach and the other trainer in South Taiwan, but I am glad that I have the opportunity to meet the international players from the world in Macau. While I was in Taiwan, I took time to attend Mandarin Daily News Cup on Nov. 28
th, but I can’t finish the game with my team because I need to fly to Macau on the 29
th November. However I believe that my team will earn the honor for my school.
This month I was away from home for 23 days, but I believe I am close to my goal by practicing and learning from the game. I’m looking forward to the end of December when I will be attending the National table tennis player’s selection game and will keep you updated on my progress.
October 2007
This month I played at the National Athlete Meet. The competition was absolutely severe, when I get into the final rounds competition I faced one of the strongest competitors, Mr. Jiang, in Taiwan. He ranks one of the top three players in Taiwan with more than 20 years experience and has represented Taiwan in the past three Olympic Games. I won 5 scores in the first round but finally lost in the end. Although I didn’t get into the top three this time, I took this as the greatest experience, he is a really experienced player and I did learn a lot from this game.
Right after the National Athlete Meet I have been preparing myself to be in the best condition before departing to Europe for the invitation games. I will visit Germany and France for the invitation game within a week. From the trip I get another great opportunity to meet other top players to improve my skills from games. And hopefully, I can win the honour back for Taiwan as well as G4S.

September 2007
September has been busy for me; I have been in two important competitions. The first was the Hu Die Cup on Sep10th; I played very well here and won the gold medal. Then at the Asian Cup I was playing for Taiwan and the team won the copper medal which I was very pleased with. I am now working towards two big competitions I have next month, the National Athlete meet and the Junior National Championships.

I attended the Asia Junior Table Tennis Championships in Korea in the end of July
. It was a great event and I won the copper medal in team competition and a sliver medal in men’s double competition.
On August 10
th, I joined the invitation competition in El Salvador, everything went well and I won the gold medal in the competition. Whilst I have had some time to rest I am now working towards the Hu Die Cup on Sep 9
th and 10
th then the Asian Cup on Sep 16
th and the Junior National Champion competition on Sep 30
th.

After the global launch of G4S 4teen in London back in June I have had a busy but very successful July.
After the Asian Table Tennis Championships tryouts I have been ranked second in Taiwan and was then selected to represent Chinese Taipei in the Asian Table Tennis Championships later this year in September.
Whilst busy at competitions I am also working towards the Asia Youth Table Tennis Championships in Korea as well as the Taipei Championships Open in August.
