Profile:

Nimitta is a successful young swimmer who competes in 200m, 400m Individual Medley & 800m Freestyle events. After being diagnosed with asthma when she was eight Nimitta’s doctor recommended swimming to help  her condition. Since then she has gone on to win numerous medals and international titles. In 2007 Nimitta trained in Australia where she swam for a club on the Gold Coast. Fluent in English and an impressive mathematician Nimitta is an all-round young star. In 2008 Nimitta incurred a back injury that saw her face surgery 3 months before she qualified for the Olympic Games.

  • 2005 23rd Sea Games, Philippines – Gold (400 IM), Bronze (Freestyle), Bronze (Butterfly)

Nimitta Thaveesupsoonthorn, G4S 4teen's exceptionally talented swimmer from Thailand, shone through some testing times to achieve her deserved dream of qualifying for Beijing. Only three months ahead of her trials Nimitta underwent a back operation and had been on an intensive rehabilitation programme to heighten her chances of qualifying.
