Profile:

Pauline started running seriously at the age of 14 and has already represented her country in track and field for five years. Since running for Kenya she has come away with a Gold medal in cross country and two Silvers on the track. In December 2008 Pauline travelled to Ethiopia to meet up again with Haile Gebrselassie and train with him in his home town of Addis Ababa. Haile’s advice and experience is clearly rubbing off on the young Kenyan who has posted a series of impressive results.

Pauline attended the 37th IAAF World Cross Country Championships that were held in Amman, Jordan. The Kenyan team put in a great performance taking first and second place at the World Championships and Pauline followed with a solid performance of 11th with a time of 27.03.

After winning her final of three consecutive races, Pauline Korikwiang scooped the 2008 Kenyan Cross Country Series title running a personal best.

Haile Gebrselassie invites G4S fellow long distance runner Pauline Korikwiang to train with him in at his home in Ethiopia. Joining him on his training sessions, Pauline took to the mountains of Ethiopia to follow Haile on his regular route before sitting down to lunch with his family and being treated to his piano playing.

Whilst the G4S international ambassador, Haile Gebrselassie, took to the streets of Melbourne to win the inaugural Great Australian Run; G4S 4teen’s impressive runner, Pauline Korikwiang, tackled Nairobi’s off-road terrain to claim the title at Kenya’s third cross country championships.
