September 2008
I haven’t had any competitions this month as I’ve been resting after returning from Beijing. Instead I have been working out in the gym in order to keep fit and maintain some of my strength until my next training camp, which is in late December.
I have also been to London for the Post Olympic celebration where I got to meet up with some of my other team mates who were at the Olympics. It was especially good to see Obinna and catch up on his experiences on the Olympics and running next to Usain Bolt!
My next event is my local club competition which will be held in Gaborone which I am really looking forward to. I would also like to pass on a message to Haile - I always believed that you could make it, people thought that because you didn’t want to compete in Beijing that it meant you were no longer fit to compete. But I believed that you could make it with all my heart. Congratulations!

February 2008
I am looking forward to the games in South Africa this coming month as all last month I attended a training camp which went well.
My main focus for this month is to identify an academic course which I can start on. As last year I did not utilize the funds that were budgeted for furthering my studies. I would like to start on a computer course so that I can be computer literate. Nyaladzi, my G4S contact in Kenya is helping me with this.
At a recent event I was interviewed on BTV as they were present in Molepolole, a small village outside the capital city where we had the warm up competitions for the qualifying races to the Olympics.
January 2008
I have not competed this month but I will be next month. There are some exciting competitions coming in South Africa next month. I attended the out of school training camps and in the camps I attended some competitions. The training camps were in Gaborone and Jwaneng, in one of the camps I competed in the 6km races. The training was hard but for me it was fine.
I competed in very tough 400m and 300m races where I came second. During the training camp I entered the 6km race, which is not my kind of race and I managed to get to the finals and beat 7 people in that competition.
I have done some interviews with Radio Botswana 1 (RB I) and they asked me what G4S 4teen is and how it has helped me. They also asked me about the competitions.
I have not been in contact with other 4teen members but I hope to meet Zodwa from South Africa as I will be going there for some competitions. I heard that Nimitta had an injury to her back and so I would like to send my sympathy and wish her a speedy recovery.
I am looking forward to the next competitions where I hope to improve my time on 100m to 10:20s and for the 200m to 20:98s.
December 2007
My main focus for December was to train hard; my focus is to qualify for the next year’s Beijing Olympics where I worked hard because there are some competitions where I can qualify next year. I look forward to the Zone 6 in March and the World Junior competitions.
There was also a great moment for me this month when I was given the national award for the 2007 most promising athlete by the BAA. I was presented with this a ceremony what was also on Botswana television where I was interviewed, it was a great experience.
I am looking forward to qualifying for the Beijing Olympics and to training hard for other competitions like the Southern Junior and African Championships. My aspirations for 2008 are to go to school to further my studies and I also plan to work hard and to make it to the indoor games.
November 2007
I have competed in two competitions this month. The first was in Gaborone on 3rd November 2007 and I competed in the 100m and 200m races. The competition was fine to me and in the 100m I did the time of 9:98 and in the 200m I did the time of 20:18 and I was happy with my time for both. In the 100m I was 1st and 200m I was also 1st. We also competed in the 4x 100m relay and we finished 2nd with the time of 41:56. The exciting thing is that in this competition there was a person called Tlhalosang Molapisi, he is the best 100m runner in Botswana and I beat him in both 100m and 200m. The second competition was on 24th November and again I did both the 100m and 200m and although I ran slower in the 100m I was quicker in the 200m with time of 20:04.
Before these competitions I attended the training camp. This was fine, I was training two times a day and I will be attending the next training camp next month which will be on the 2nd of December and will end on 22nd December 2007. I have been involved with media interviews and photo shoots this month. In the first competition I had an interview with The Botswana Daily News which was fine and good fun.
The most exciting news to me is that we have a new member of the G4S 4teen. I would like to welcome Nimitta and I look forward to meeting her. I am looking forward to working hard this month and I am working towards the next training camp. I want to beat the 100m and 200m times in Botswana
November 2007
On 3rd of November, Fanuel Kenosi participated in the Botswana Athletes Association National Championships were he competed in a number of races. To support their local ambassador, members of G4S Botswana attended the event to cheer Fanuel on and reinforce their proud partnership with the young star.
The hordes of supports inspired Fanuel who won all of his races that day and the G4S employees enjoyed the event so much they have decided to form a Cheerleading Group for Fanuel.
News of Fanuel’s success reached the National press and thanks to the G4S communications team his story was covered by the Daily news on Monday 5th November (No.209 Page 23) and The Gazzette of 7th November (pg 31).
October 2007
I am sending this message to Haile Gebrselassie to say congratulations for breaking the marathon world record it is something every athlete dreams. Congratulations!
I started a training camp on the 16th October this concentrates on personal training with my coach for the club championships, G4S Botswana kindly gave me my own athlete kit which included 2 x vests and shorts for competing, two golf t-shirts for attending G4S functions and an additional tracksuit all with G4S branding. I am excited as we compete in our own clothes for local games and this time I won’t have problems with what to wear.
G4S staff have also told me that they will come and cheer me when I participate in the Club championship’s.

August 2007
I have had quite a busy time since the launch, I just returned from the All Africa Games where I competed in the 100m and my time was 10.59. The next day I did the 200m and my time was 21.14 and after we did the relays and we did it in 39.62 finishing 7th. But our relay time beat the Botswana local record of 40.01.
I have been training with Botswana’s senior world champs team which left for Osaka, Japan in August. Last month I attended training camps in Germany and I attended 3 competitions. Training was good because in some competitions there were many athletes from various corners of the world.
I have also been involved in media interviews and photo shoots this month. We launched the G4S 4teen programme in Botswana and I was invited to the ceremony, it was exciting as I also had a television interview with BTV. I was also asked to attend The G4S Wellness Day and it was fun.
My main focus this month is focusing my training in preparation for the National Championships which will be in October in Gaborone and we have other competitions in November.
It has been very exciting at competitions as I have seen other members of G4S 4teen, first I was with Obinna Metu from Nigeria in training and in the competitions and at the end of the All Africa Games I was with Zodwa Maphanga and we took a photo. I have enjoyed a great month and I am looking forward for the competitions this month that will be on the 6
th October and the next one on the 22 of November.
