September 2008

Over the past month I have raced in some local competitions which all went well and I am now feeling prepared for the international competitions I have coming up over the next few weeks. My main focus for this month has been my training for the Latin American competition in Chile next month, on the 4th and 5th Oct. After competing in Chile I then have some Columbian and US nationals, so it will be a busy month of competitions.

I have also been invited on to some national TV shows where they have asked about my training and preparation for the international races I have coming up. I am feeling positive for my forth coming events as I have been training hard over the past month and have begun to see significant improvements in my performances with my times on the track getting better and better

I will update you on how I get on next month. Bye!

August  2008

Before my visit to the Olympics I only had local competitions, none of which were too important. I took the time then to start preparing for the events I have coming up over the next couple of months, the US nationals and some Colombian races, such as the nationals and track competitions.

The Olympics were so much fun… I learned so many things and gained so much insight into what goes on behind the scenes at the biggest and greatest sporting games in the world. Just being there was amazing and I now can’t wait for 2012 Olympics where I will be competing myself.

After the worlds my hand is much better and I now feel ready and prepared to compete in the US and Latin American races I have coming up. I will keep you updated on all my progress... Goodbye for now!

February 2008

My hand is getting better and I wanted to let you know that I will start racing on the track soon for the Colombian cycling association. This will help me to get ready for the bmx world championships and to also race in both classes and be the national number one in both.

I want my hand to be ready so I can start racing in the states and in Colombia again.

February 2008

At the end of last year I had an accident where I broke my hand and had to have some surgery to correct the break. I have not been able to ride but next month I going to ride my bike very slow in the track and it will be awesome to ride again.

My doctor is so surprised with how well my hand has healed that he is going to share my injury with doctors around the world. For now my focus is to have my hand ready to race again and to train hard so I don’t lose what I had. I have been doing so much therapy and I am progressing very fast.

October 2007

I had a very hard month, I competed in many races such as The Colombian National and I got 1st both days also in the International races: the Latin-American in Chia Colombia and I won in both classes - 20” and my cruiser. The most important one for me last week in Orlando Florida, this is my first race as a professional, and I thought it would be very difficult but I won on all the three days and I was really HAPPY!!!!

The main focus for this month was the race as a professional, we knew it was going to be very difficult because they are older and they know how these races are, but my training was really good and the results were excellent. Because of this I appeared in some national newspapers and on the national news. I also an interview in Orlando in the webpage go211.com, this was because it was my first win as a professional.

This month I also had my birthday I am now 16 and I got my driving license and I am very proud.

September 2007

I just arrived from my local track where we were racing in the international friendship race, I got 1st in my class with girls and with boys I got 4th, this race was very important to me because it was a different race, it was an example race and it has a different meaning for all the Colombian athletes. I plan to practice really hard for next month because I have a very important and very hard race on in October. My win saw me on TV involved in a local sport channel and national news channel.

I have been selected again to represent Colombia and as well as this I have been asked to mentor a young teenager who has won an award for being an good example I am really looking forward to helping this teenager make his goal.

I have many important competitions next month, I have a Colombian national then I have the Latin-American championship and a USA national in Orlando FL as a pro-women.

August 2007

Last month I competed in the World Championships, I did really well; I won my class and was second in cruiser class. It was really fun, and also I completed what I wanted for this year - Being the world champion for 9 years in a row. I have also raced in the Colombian national title; I got a gold medal in 18 and over girls and 3rd with 15-16 boys. This competition was really important to me because it says that I’m the number one pro girl in Colombia and third in the boy’s class.

Well, this month I also got the Disney ABA National in the USA, the Gold Wheel National in Chia Colombia, but next month I will be racing the Latin-American race that I’ve been wining for the last 6 years and I have plans to win it again. I have also got the Grand National in the USA, this is the final of the USA National Championships and I’m in first place, If I win this race I will be the USA National Champion again.

I have also been in some interviews for local news channels, magazine and newspapers and I had an interview for a USA sports magazine.

Other good news is that my brother just arrived from Italy, he was racing karts in the International Open Masters, one of the most important Championships in the World of Karting and he did really well.
