Projects
The projects that G4S will work with the British Judo Association on
will vary over time.
The initial focus will be to identify the specific
areas
of expertise and competencies that have driven G4S to be the world’s leading security company and that
may be transferable to a national governing body of sport – also in the business of trying to be a world
class organisation.
Sporting bodies are becoming more commercial
by the day and there is great potential to learn quickly from a strong commercial mentor in the areas
of human resources, training, sales, customer service and communications.
Projects
may include:
- Mentoring
of key BJA staff members
- Advice and practical Executive Development
of BJA management team
- Exchange of best practice on marketing and
customer relationship management
- Potential to teach the principles
of Judo (self respect and discipline) to young offenders in the care of G4S
- Marketing
of Judo as a sport to G4S UK employees
- Use of G4S facilities for
meetings and conferences
- Supply of team clothing through G4S garment
and uniform factories
- Through G4S sports partner Fast Track, providing
advice on maximising the potential of sporting events
- Potential
for many future joint initiatives
