G4S Norway & Olaf Tufte

G4S Norway are proud to support 31 year old Olympic rowing champion Olaf Tufte.  The Norwegian, known affectionately as 'The Farmer' competes at international level in the men's sculls competions, wining gold at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, and the silver medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Olaf Tufte at the World Championships in Munich 2007 (Thanks to Henning Skauli for permission to use the image)He has also won two World Championships in the singles sculls, in 2001 and 2003.  Most recently, he attained the bronze medal at the World Championships in Munich in August 2007.

When Olaf is not rowing, he serves as a fire fighter, and also works at the family farm in Horten growing cereals.

Each year Olaf hosts the Tufte Farmer Challenge, inviting athletes from a variety of disciplines to compete in different sporting events and games at the farm.

G4S are proud to support the event by sponsoring the Fire Fighting Challenge and providing security expertise to the venue.
