Aviation

G4S believes that the most effective safeguard against potential security threats is striking the perfect balance between man and machine.  We have built a reputation around the variety and quality of our aviation services, which we provide in over 20 airports in the UK, and 13 others across France, Germany, Holland and Belgium.  

We offer a range of security and passenger assistance services including passenger screening, visa and document verification, hold baggage screening, aircraft guarding and patrolling, and weapon handling.

Rail

G4S is a leading provider of manned security services to the UK rail industry.  We supply contracted staff to many of the UK’s largest train, underground and metro operating companies.

Our skilled security staff perform a wide variety of roles, including revenue protection, ticket issue, on-train, station and depot security, and CCTV control to many of the UK’s largest train, underground and metro operating companies.  

Maritime

The Maritime division of G4S presently operates at sea ports around the UK, offering a range of security, port control and passenger operations tailored to the requirements of its maritime customers.

Staff currently undertake a diverse range of duties including dock gate and ship security, passenger and baggage screening, access control, marine communications and fire fighting safety.  We also have in-depth specialist skills in cruise ship operations.  

Additionally we supply specially trained patrol officers, a role created solely to provide professional maritime security specialists.
