Welfare to Work - Flexible New Deal

G4S has successfully pre qualified to bid to become a Prime Contractor for The Department of Work and Pensions Flexible New Deal Phase 2. Flexible New Deal (FND) is part of the Government’s modernisation of the Jobseekers Regime and the New Deal. FND aims to assist job seekers who have been unemployed over 12 months into sustained employment.

We believe strongly in the importance of employment to individuals, to local communities, to regional and national economies. We are committed to helping more people into work through:

We provide a range of support programmes aimed at assisting offenders and young people into sustainable employment and improving their life prospects. These services operate in partnership with specialist agencies and include vocational skills training and qualifications, job preparation, job brokerage, employer liaison, peer support and mentoring. Each year we work with over 100,000 offenders and young people in partnership with 150 voluntary, community and training organisations.

As the largest employer quoted on the FTSE 100 G4S has substantial experience in contract management, HR, IT, employer contacts and in developing an effective supply chains. As such we are seeking to work strategically with local agencies and key stakeholders to increase employment of those referred by Jobcentre Plus.

G4S are seeking to develop effective local FND partnerships with experienced Delivery Partners from the voluntary, private and public sector.
