Event security and stewarding roles
Safety Stewards
Safety stewards carry out a range of duties including:
- Checking and inspecting tickets,
- Operation of exit doors and gates
- Car park stewarding and traffic marshalling
- Site patrols
- Hospitality stewarding
- Offering information and advice to the public
Security Stewards/Officers
Security stewards/ officers may be asked to carry out any of the duties carried out by a safety steward as well as the additional duties highlighted below:
- Searching patrons on entry to events
- Removal of disruptive visitors
- Security of licensed premises
- Back stage security and access to sensitive areas
- Pitch/dressing room security
