Job Description: Retail Security Officer
Essential Requirements
- UK or EU Citizen
- Non UK or EU citizens must have a valid work permit with a minimum of 3 months left before expiry date.
- Smart appearance with a clear speaking voice
- Good Communication skills, pleasant manner, approachable and can remain calm under pressure.
- Observant
- Minimum age of 18 due to SIA requirements.
- Basic PC skills
- Successful completion of sense testing.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Prior experience in the security industry would be an advantage but not essential.
- Driving license and own transport (depending on role)

General Duties
- Provide a Visible onsite security presence
- Complete report book and all relevant paperwork
- Communicate any incidents to Control Centre and/or Customer
- Processing civil recovery in the event of a detainment of a member of the public.
- Dealing with hostile members of the public to resolve a conflict situation.
- Patrolling and monitoring from a loss prevention aspect.
- Completing fire and health and safety checks.
- Liasing and communicating with internal clients.
