STREET Smart – A New Beginning is a wrap-around program offered in Florida to provide transition assessment, planning and support services during a youth’s movement from residential placement to living and working in the community.

These services are provided for 12 months upon return to the community and include job development and placement, employment and living arrangement support, and mentoring services according to each youth’s individualised transition plan and needs. Staff maintain links with the youth’s family, employer, community organisations, School-to-Work initiatives and juvenile justice staff.
