Our Programs
Compliance Monitoring - G4S Youth Services assists States in implementing, monitoring and resolving issues that lead to inappropriate placement of juveniles and protecting juveniles from harm - both physical and psychological - that can occur as a result of exposure to adult inmates, as per the federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 2002 (JJDPA).
Our approach to compliance monitoring is:
- Find compliance, rather than non-compliance
- Assist local and state facility managers in preventing non-compliance
- Provide all juvenile justice system stakeholders a reliable source of information and technical assistance on all matters, relating to the JJDPA
Educational Services - G4S Youth Services understands how important it is to deliver effective education programs in juvenile residential facilities. Often the youth committed to residential treatment programs or detention centers have poor educational achievement and have not faired well in traditional educational settings. Successfully engaging the minds and the motivation of these challenging youth is the focus of our educational programs. With almost 45 percent of pupils in a correctional setting diagnosed with learning difficulties (as opposed to 20 percent in traditional schools), motivation and engagement is key. Employing experienced staff with proven competence in alternative education in a juvenile justice setting, G4S has achieved significant success.
