Although all G4S Wackenhut security officers assigned to a chemical / petrochemical facility are hired with substantial background experience and educational credentials, security officers must complete additional instruction in high-risk security operations, fire and life safety, and undergo Chemical-Terrorism Vulnerability Information (CVI) Authorized User training (if performing at a CFATS-regulated facility).

G4S Wackenhut has developed a 50-hour chemical / petrochemical specific training course focusing on, among other things:

• OSHA First Responder – Awareness level
  
• Bomb Threats
  
• Human, Public and Media Relations
  
• Abnormal Behavior
  
• Legal Authority of the Security Officer
