Wackenhut Training Institute
- The Smithsonian Institution selected Wackenhut to conduct a comprehensive training needs analysis, design five programs of instruction, and to train its 600-plus member in-house security staff in fundamental security duties and supervisory responsibilities over a five-year period. We are currently in our fourth year of this contract.
- The State of North Carolina chose Wackenhut to research and develop its required training program for contract security officers. The NC Private Protective Services Department then distributed the manual and accompanying videotape to all security companies in the state for required use.
It is at Wackenhut Training Institute that basic security training programs are developed. WTI does not bow out after developing training programs; rather, training advisors continue to assist local training personnel and managers in developing job-specific, follow-on, and continuing education programs. We make this easy by providing the majority of training materials on-line.
