Jack Schmidt announced as Chair of ASIS Pacific Chapter 190
G4S is pleased to announce that Jack Schmidt, Business Development Manager, Pacific Region, is now ASIS Pacific Chapter 190 Chapter Chair. ASIS’s mission is to promote excellence and leadership in the security management profession. This is accomplished through networking events, professional certifications (including the CPP, PSP and PCI), educational/ professional development opportunities and publishing of standards and guideline capturing industry best practices. The Pacific Chapter has over 140 members and growing.
Global security needs are constantly evolving, and it is critical that our industry adapts to meet these growing challenges…I am passionate about the continuing professionalization of the security industry and I am a strong advocate for the Young Professional’s and Women in Security movements within ASIS. We need to focus on succession planning by building mentoring programs and career ladders so members can learn skills to prepare them for future leadership roles.
G4S supports ASIS throughout Canada, in the United States, and around the world. At the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits on September 2017 in Dallas Texas, JD Killeen, CPP, Director, National & Regional Sales G4S Canada, was formerly awarded the ASIS International Professional Certification Board’s Regional Award of Achievement. G4S’s John Petruzzi, Vice President of Integrated Security Solutions, was re-elected to the ASIS International Board of Directors, and will serve as Secretary from 1 January 2018. John said, “The ASIS organization brings together all levels of security practitioners to build trusted networks and professional relationships. It also presents an opportunity to influence the industry in big ways.”
