G4S Secure Solutions proves its mettle with Tata Steel

G4S Secure Solutions (G4S), the UK’s leading security company, has been awarded a three year contract with global steel manufacturers, Tata Steel

The win is in addition to an existing contract with G4S Technology and provides another boost to the growing number of the business’ manufacturing clients.

From April G4S will provide a range of technology and manned guarding security services across five of Tata Steel’s Long Products business sites including; Scunthorpe (North Lincolnshire), Immingham Bulk Terminal (South Humberside), Dalzell (Lanarkshire), Clydebridge (Lanarkshire), and Skinningrove (North Yorkshire). G4S will be responsible for managing visitor entry for all contractors and employees: for patrolling the sites; administering alcohol testing; enforcing site speed limits and other security related services.

Founded in India, Tata Steel manufactures and supplies steel to more than 50 countries and employs over 80,000 people.

Our experience in providing bespoke security solutions for businesses in this industry makes us well placed to support Tata at some of their key UK sites.”
