The Assistant Chief Constantable for Lincolnshire Police wrote praising the work of G4S staff in the wake of the Manchester terrorist attack.
Lincolnshire police officers

I wanted to extend to you and all G4S staff who are part of the strategic partnership with Lincolnshire Police our huge thanks for all their hard work over the last few weeks.

You’ll no doubt be aware of the demands the recent terror attacks have put on the policing service as a whole, not least because of the temporary escalation of the threat level from severe to critical in the wake of the Manchester concert attack.

As a result, we asked our officers and staff for extra – extra hours, extra vigilance, extra work, as we tried to keep the public as safe and secure as possible, and their response was superb. Without hesitation, the call for extra commitment was answered to ensure the appropriate resources were in place during what was, and still is, a most extraordinary and difficult time.

Can I ask you to please circulate to your G4S staff who work with us here in Lincolnshire my personal thanks and those of all of the Chief Officer Group – we are all very grateful for their hard work.

Paul Gibson, Assistant Chief Constable for Lincolnshire Police
