Perimeter security is an important deterrent and combines physical gates, fences and barriers. These are supported by intelligent platforms that alert to unusual or suspicious behaviour to allow swift and decisive action.

Barrier-mounted systems deployed on or in conjunction with a fence or other physical barrier (e.g. microphonic cable).
Ground-based solutions deployed below ground (e.g. pressure sensitive cables), which do not require a physical barrier.
Free-standing systems deployed above ground that do not need to be installed on or in conjunction with a physical barrier (e.g. bistatic microwave links).
Rapidly deployable systems that are designed for temporary deployment, such as to protect a mobile asset. These are often battery powered and transmit their alarms wirelessly.

CCTV in combination with analytics, which can identify suspicious activity and send alerts.
Perimeter hardening technologies using video analytics and 2-way audio with trespassers.
