Screening and Vetting Services
screening packages designed around your business needs
A robust employee screening programme helps organisations minimise the risk of making inappropriate recruitment decisions, which if unchecked, could lead to fraud, dishonesty or misconduct and cause damage to your businesses brand, reputation and financial standing.
No two organisations are exactly the same and the jobs within them require different competencies, skills and attributes, along with different levels of authority and responsibility. G4S Employment Screening and Vetting Services offer a range of employment screening packages, which help our customers meet their individual needs.
Our core Employment Screening checks comprise of the following components: -
Verification of a person’s identifying credentials such as Passport or Birth Certificate, helps ensure that they are who they say they are.
Right to Work
Where a non-EU citizen presents a work or student visa, G4S will validate its authenticity using Home Office sources.
Proof of Residence Verification
Confirming a person’s residential address commences with a search of the public electoral roll. Where an individual is not found, G4S will utilise other data sources, such consumer credit ‘footprint’ data to prove a transactional history of a person at a specific address.

A consumer credit check will be carried out using an established credit bureau. Searches help identify County Court Judgements, Voluntary Arrangement, and Bankruptcy.
Academic Qualification Validation
A direct request would be made to the school, college or university to confirm the individual’s qualifications and/or period of attendance.
The individual’s employment history will be validated through written and/or verbal referencing from previous employers.
Professional Qualification and Membership Check
A direct request would be made to the professional body, requesting confirmation of the individual’s date of joining, membership status and professional qualifications.
Criminal Record Search
G4S will use its umbrella status to complete a Criminal Record check using the appropriate body; Disclosure Scotland, Criminal Records Bureau or Access Northern Ireland. G4S will also ensure that the correct criminal record Disclosure type is used by our customers.
