G4S supported England Team at CWG

G4S is the leading security solutions provider in India, provided an extensive range of services to the England team in Delhi for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, which was initiated on 3rd October.

G4S provided a range of logistical support to Commonwealth Games England (CGE) which comprised 580 athletes, coaches, medical staff and headquarters staff and VIPs. 

We administrated the security and transport requirements of the VIPS and supporting official receptions. We also extended local commuting facility by providing shuttle service between the Games Village and the ‘Team Lodge’.

G4S had set up a state-of-the-art facility “a Lodge” at Vivanta by Taj; allowing athletes to relax and meet friends and family.  “It was a home away from home “.

The Lodge had a provision of reception for screening and issuing of visitor pass to family and friends of athletes /officials. Besides a help desk, internet terminals/IT Support, there is a giant TV projection screen providing live coverage of the Games, medal board picture gallery, transport help desk, coffee shop and an office support centre.  There was also a back end support service running 24/7, based at the Corporate office of G4S that could provide further support to Commonwealth Games England as required.

G4S provided extra manpower at short notice for all travelling members of the England team who required assistance during the Games.

We were looking forward to strengthen our relationship with England Team and it would open new avenues for G4S for handling mega events of high magnitude.
