Job Outline

Security Officers protect the property, assets and staff of clients by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Duties include 

This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.

  • Protect client’s property, assets and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Observe signs of crime, vandalism and/or disorder and investigate disturbances.
  • Act lawfully in direct defense of life and/or property.
  • Apprehend criminals and evict violators.
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
  • Report in detail any suspicious incidents.
  • Patrol randomly or regularly buildings and perimeters.
  • Control access at buildings and vehicle gates.
  • Monitor alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
  • Carrying out other duties as required.

Requirements

  • A good command of English and Maltese.
  • Valid Private Guard Licence issued by the Commissioner of Police.
  • Clean police conduct.
  • Preferably in possession of a valid driving license B.
