Under one of the largest integrated security contracts of its kind awarded in the UK, G4S’s security technology will be combined with professionally trained G4S security officers across the DWP estate, providing an innovative, cost effective solution to meet the client’s needs.

The contract commences in April 2018 and runs for an initial period of 5 years, with a potential 2 year extension thereafter.

G4S Secure Solutions UK Managing Director, Doug Hewitson said:

Notes to Editors:

G4S provides Integrated Security Solutions, combining proven expertise in risk-based security assessment, manned security and technology solutions designed and integrated by G4S experts, including access control systems, intrusion detection, CCTV and security systems software provided by AMAG Technology (a G4S Group company).

G4S’s dynamic threat and risk assessment model is used to identify security risks and vulnerabilities and to assist in the design of security solutions which address precise security requirements, thereby improving both the security effect whilst often also reducing the total cost of ownership for customers.

Security officers are now better equipped and connected using new tools to facilitate quicker and more secure communications, proof of duty, incident reporting directly to a communications and operations centre and access to timely and accurate information from across a customer’s entire estate.
