In October 2022, Carlos Vidal Sanchez was promoted from Head of Regional Operations Santander, to Director of Human Resources Management in Barranquilla (the northern region of the country).
A professional in Business Administration with a specialism in Senior Management, he joins the Human Resources team for the northern region in Colombia - which is responsible for approximately 1,400 employees.
Carlos will oversee all HR processes; including operational delivery service excellence through supporting teams to retain, develop and help employees thrive. He is also responsible for leading Health and Safety strategies that aim to achieve the company’s objective of zero-harm. His role is very important for the business due to the multiple energy, gas & oil clients present in this part of the country and the US Embassy in Cartagena city.
Joining G4S in March 2011 as a CCTV Operator in the North-Western region of Colombia, his performance saw him quickly involved in bigger projects and gaining promotions.
For over 12 years Carlos has developed his career and experience in the security sector with the company.
In 2016, he was promoted to Operations Coordinator where he supported multiple zones and clients across G4S Colombia’s north-western branch. He was renowned for his quick-learning, excellent client relationships and exemplary operational leadership. Thanks to these skills and attributes, he was appointed Operations Head of the Santander branch in mid-2020. Here, he further demonstrated his knowledge and leadership skills to retain and grow customers in the eastern region of Colombia.
