G4S announce CFO changes

G4S, the international secure solutions outsourcing group, today announces that Trevor Dighton will be retiring from his position as Chief Financial Officer on 30 April 2013 and from the board of G4S plc following the company’s Annual General Meeting on 6 June 2013

The company is pleased to announce that Ashley Almanza, former CFO of BG Group, will be joining the board as an executive director and will succeed Mr Dighton in the role of CFO with effect from 1 May 2013. He will also serve as a member of the Risk Committee.

Mr Dighton will continue to work for the group in order to conclude a number of strategic projects and to ensure a smooth handover to Mr Almanza.

Commenting on the announcement, Nick Buckles, CEO of G4S said:

“Trevor signalled his intention to retire from the board at the age of 65 and I would like to thank him for having dedicated 18 years to the group during which time he has been a key part of the senior management team and helped to create the world leader in secure solutions.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ashley, a high quality respected executive with extensive international business experience. We look forward to him joining the board and the management team on 1st May.”

About Ashley Almanza:

A chartered accountant by training, Ashley who holds an MBA from London Business School, held a number of senior roles at BG Group from 1993 to 2012, including Chief Financial Officer from 2002 to 2011 and Executive Vice President from 2009 to 2012.

 

Ashley is currently a non-executive director of Schroders plc and a member of the Advisory Board of Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation. He was previously Chairman of the Hundred Group of Finance Directors.
